5 Easy healthy eating ideas

1.  Weekly meal prepping

Meal prepping is the key. Use either a couple of hours on your Sunday night or on Monday. Cooking whole meals and healthy food dishes like soups or stews or curries in bulk and freezing for later does make a difference.

2. Have actual food in the house

This is perhaps the most important one. If you don’t have food at home, it doesn’t matter how much you like to cook or what a great cook you are. Hence, make grocery shopping a priority. Fill up your kitchen with fresh produce and necessities’ for the rest of the week twice a week.

3. Bulk cooking

Cook food that you can prepare and store a few days in your fridge. Such as lentils, chickpeas, beans, brown rice, millet, quinoa, kamut, bulgur, whole wheat pasta. Make a hummus, some veggie patties, or simply some rice with spices of your choice.

Or boil some extra eggs, which you simply can add to a salad, or can grab as a handy snack on the go. Additionally, oven-baked veggies that you can make a soup out of, or which can add to make your salad more filling. For the convenience, instead of cooking your protein source in the evening, cook some fish, tofu, , chicken, turkey and similar in bulk.

4. Keep it simple

No time or reason for fancy recipes, or your mother’s amazingly tasty lasagna. Having some quick, easy recipes is vital. Simply, make a base of veggies, such as spinach, sprouts ans tomatoes, add some of the beans, salmon or chicken, (which you already have prepared) together with some rice for example. Already knowing that making your dinner will take you 10 minutes to prepare, you are more likely to skip the Chinese take-out and the burger on your way back home.
