Positive mindset. When we envision how we’ll look after we lose weight or get fit we feel euphoric, and so we begin our routine of eating better, and exercising more. As time goes on, we realize just how much strength we’ll need to fight off cravings and stay motivated, when suddenly maintaining a positive outlook feels impossible.

We find ourselves fantasizing about all the food we’re going to devour when we reach our goal weight, and suddenly we’re off track.

A positive mindset

The mind is a very powerful tool, which dictates what we do and when we do it. When we are faced with difficult situations, it is the mind that calls the shots. A negative mindset limits our ability to achieve goals, whereas, a positive mental attitude will ensure that we won’t give up. When changing eating habits, a positive mindset can help to overcome temptations, disappointments and emotional frustrations. At BeYou, the coaches are ready to help support you in generating this shift.

Using positive visualization, such as creating mental images of how you’ll look and feel when you’ve achieved your weight loss goals, or even writing it down in a journal will help you through the hard times. Remember to reward your accomplishments rather than punish your weaknesses. By writing down all of your daily successes, you’ll see that the good outweighs the bad. When you’re feeling defeated, pamper yourself with a day at the spa or take yourself to a movie, and focus on results, not failures.
